Camping in the garden
Me and my mum and my brother Angus slept in a tent at our house on Monday night.
Mum and I set up the tent during the day. Later at night we put the gear in then we locked up all the windows and the door. Then we went in the tent and talked for a while then went to sleep. I woke up at 6.54am. The tent was moist from dew in the morning.
When Angus woke up at 7.15am we went in the house and turned on the heat pump and had porridge for breakfast.

Oh my goodness Robbie lucky ,lucky, lucky you. How fabulous that must have been. Camping out! There’s so many great things I’m seeing people do and I have to say you’re camping out is one of them. I bet you had fun putting up the tent with your mum it’s great doing things together isn’t it? I hope you weren’t too cold as there was a slight frost last night brrrrr. I bet you loved getting into that heat pump.
ReplyDeleteHave you packed up the tent or are you planning another night in it?
Ali
We were testing if the tent was water proof because it is old. So it is still up for now.
DeleteWhat a great idea, Robbie. We usually go away camping at Easter and I really missed it this year. Do you go camping in the holidays? Setting up in the backyard is a good way to have the experience - and then get a warm breakfast afterwards.
ReplyDeleteRobbie - We have been camping once before school camp. I like camping in the garden because it is close to our house.
