Rumbstfication Day 2021

Rumbustification  is a day where there is no learning, just a fun day at school where there is a bunch of activities

The rumbustification started at 10 o'clock but I went surfing with Mr. Redmond, so we hopped in the van and went down to the beach and got changed, grabbed the boards and walked down. Then we got in the water after we got of the water we went back to school and rumbustification had already started and my friends and I walked down to volleyball which was in the hall but volleyball was full so we played badminton on the other side of the hall for 10 mins then the bell rang . We went back to class and had our lunch  and went around the other classes and tried out all the activities. My favourite was table tennis and I did not get to try everything as the day went so fast.

Art - Belonging

 

This is my belonging art it I have chosen hockey because I have felt like I belong to a group like the hockey team because we have had good times when I play with my friends. Hockey is a sport that I want to play for the rest of my life and teach otters how to play. when I play hockey I feel happy. In hockey I like making good tackles because it is a very important move.

like a composes to draw perfect circle  so we had to musere out a raids of 10cm and then we mesuerd it on a 60  angle and connected the lines to the middle.

 For te ao we  are doing soap carving the pattern I have chosen is the fish hook which represents how close I live to the beach and being a part of new Brighton

  Today in the school car park we counted cars to figure out what the ratio. Here was the recorded data  25 cars  12suv 2 trucks and  2 otter  and the ratoi was 25 :12:2:2

  Today we counded car in the school car park   we were trying to figure out what color weremore popular There were  7 reds 10 white and 4 backs and 7 blues 17 other this is the ratio 7:17 : 4:10 and in total there were 45 cars  

camp

 Camp for camp this year we went to winui . we had to take bus it was a 2 hour drive  

When we arrived  we went to our first activity was  raft building  for the raft building we used flots  and log we made a Square and then put the floors  and denim down and when we got the raft to the sea they fell Apart then we had to untie all the ropes  and then we get to go for a swim and walk back to the campsite  and there was a cabin inspection we got a 2 witch is very bad and then it was diner time for dinner we had hand burgers  and went to bed at 10

   For astronauts To grow fresh food they have things called hydroponics. This is a machine that can  make plants grow in any conditions all season round so the astronauts have fresh food. They have invented a new sort of refrigerator called gravity refrigerators which helps keep food for a very long time. The food that they take up into space,  they deep freeze and they keep it deep frozen. They can only deep freeze the food once. Deep freezing keeps the food from going mouldy by keeping it so cold it can’t grow mould. 

Kia Kaha Korero Māori

On Tuesday we went outside and shouted, "Kia Kaha! Korero Māori!" which mean stay strong, speak Māori as part of Te wiki o te reo Māori. We did this with another studio Haumiatiketike.

 

Extensions - Hockey

For extensions we have bean doing hockey which has been fun we have learned some tricks like how to pop the ball up and over the opponents stick and trying to move around people with skills. We have been improving each day.

For literacy we have been doing research about space, If we can live on planets like the moon. The fact that interests me most is how we will survive in that type gravity and heat  the Moon is as dense as diamond when i am  are finished i  will present it in a document in  training that they do to go to the moon

My interview with Neil Armstrong  For science we did research on an astronaut, I chose Neil Armstrong. First we wrote 10 questions we would like to ask our astronaut, then we were able to research to find the answer. Once we had information about their school life, home life and how they became an astronaut, we created our interview.

for winter sport we walk down to the domain our team is the best team we have not lost one game 

we have only tied  once. We are going to the winter comp which is like sport but only the best team can play we are hopeing  that we win it happening tomorrow.

The Chinchilla usually  weigh from 400 grams to 1000 grams or more.The length of the chinchilla is usually 28-49cm.They are typically 9-15 inches. It depends what breed the chinchilla is to what color they are.

The Chinchilla is an omnivore.It belongs to the Chinchilidae family. It is a Rodent. They  are nocturnal. The Chinchilla is native to the Andes of Northern Chile.

-Chinchillas are known to live in Bolivia,Peru,Argentina and Chile. Chinchillas can live in burrows or in rock crevices.

They are usually pregnant for 112 days. It lives for 10 years. Chinchillas naturally eat grasses, leaves and twigs.They eat by sitting on their hind legs and holding the food in their front paws.They eat their own poop.The baby chinchilla stays with its mother for 8 weeks.

Ocelots
Description. Ocelots look like mini leopards. They are about the size of a medium sized dog and weigh up to 35kg.
Classification. Ocelots belong  to the cat family, They are carnivores. Their scientific name is : Leopardus pardalis.
Location. Ocelots live in Central American countries including Brazil and Mexico. They only live in thick jungle.
